In our 7 years of business, we have worked with clients on every point of what we consider the control spectrum. This ranges from the client that doesn’t want anything to do with the site, just signing off on design and content, to the client who, let’s be honest, simply needs a pair of hands that can do what they cannot. You know, the client who tells you the exact amount of pixels something should be? Contrasted by the client who doesn’t know how to open their browser.
Somewhere in the middle though, is a client that wants access to content and images, maybe menus and creating posts and pages from time to time. This is the client we interact with the most.
Over the past year, we have seen more and more of this particular client type start to begin requesting more front-end control over layout, and more importantly front-end editors. Because let’s face it, WordPress’s dashboard isn’t the most user friendly.
Red Shark Digital is a premier WordPress agency in all respects. We have built and launched WordPress sites large and small, robust and simple, the list goes on and on.
In the past, we have not used any page builders, such as Visual Composer, Divi, or Elementor. We’ve relied on our developers and content managers to create custom backends based on our designer’s mockups.
While everything we build is dynamic and easily editable by the client after training on the site, the freedom of a front-end visual editor has always been something that left some of our clients wanting more.
Call us prideful, but there is something about the word ‘custom’ and Wix, Weebly, Squarespace, etc. in the same sentence that just doesn’t sit well with us. Not to mention the coding best practices and technical SEO sacrifices that come with using a drag and drop builder.
We lean on WordPress because it allows us the freedom to deliver a highly customized, clean code compliant, ADA accessible, responsive, SEO friendly website.
Nonetheless, we have been asked for this feature a few too many times for us to continue to not address it.
We pride ourselves on providing the best solution that satisfies our client’s problem, or the project’s objective. More and more we are seeing a faster timeline request, an easier to edit website once completed, and ultimately a better all-in-one product.
With the above context shared, I am extremely happy to announce that we as an agency have adopted a new website platform in addition to our WordPress capabilities.
That new website platform is Webflow.
Webflow is a well-supported, highly documented platform that allows agencies to build custom websites visually, manage their projects in a shared dashboard, and collaborate with our teams and partners in real-time. Webflow also allows us to integrate our clients’ billing directly into their site’s dashboard, creating a truly all-in-one experience. Webflow has quickly grown into an all-in-one platform for the growing agency seeking to serve modern-minded clients.
Over the past couple of months, our team has immersed themselves in the platform and have begun rebuilding our website process from the first call to the site launch.
We will be releasing more content around the pros and cons of Webflow in the coming weeks/months., so be on the lookout.
We are not a Webflow-only agency, as Webflow is not the solution for every project, however, it will be the solution many of our existing clients need, and the type of business we are attracting in this season.
Keep your eyes peeled, there’s a new Webflow Agency in North Carolina, and we are here to make a name for ourselves!
