Today, I am excited to share about one of the opportunities RedSharkGives can take part in this season. As part of Red Shark Digital’s commitment to give back to the community, we focus our efforts on Community Crossroads Center for Giving Tuesday.

Our Internal Efforts for Giving Tuesday

On Wednesday, December 20th, Red Shark Digital will shut all laptops for a bit to gather the team members around the conference room table. Our team will pack 70 bagged lunches that will go out to the local community through Community Crossroads Center. They do such great work all the time, and this is just a drop in the bucket, but we are believers that every effort matters.

Community Crossroads Center - A Beacon of Hope

If you are unfamiliar with Community Crossroads Center, I’d love to tell you a little about them. Community Crossroads Center, located in Greenville, NC, is on a mission to serve the homeless and those at risk of homelessness by providing safe housing and assisting them in developing a long-term plan that leads to self-sufficiency.

A couple of years ago, I visited the center with the Greenville-Pitt County Chamber of Commerce and got a detailed view of the facility and services offered at Community Crossroads Center. It was an eye-opening personal experience, and I am amazed by the hard work they dedicate to helping people in our community. They have nearly 100 beds and bring people into a place where they can recover from hardship and get on their feet again. Community Crossroads Center provides life-changing care.

Part of being a non-profit servicing many people is that Community Crossroads Center constantly seeks volunteers, donations, and resources to meet residents for assistance. Lots of time, money, and effort go towards what they are doing.

Extending the Giving Season

Yes, we are packing some bagged lunches, but that alone is not our end goal. Red Shark Digital also wants to use our platform to encourage others to see these needs within our community and take action to get involved in this beautiful mission. Giving Tuesday was at the end of November, and right now, the Community Crossroads Center website, www.communitycrossroadscenter.org, has a popup link on it that is live through the end of the year. Community Crossroads Center is extending one special day for the month, which opens up abundant opportunities for locals to spread their generosity. Please consider volunteering, donating financially, or contacting them to see what other ways you can impact making a home for those in Greenville who need it. Thank you.
