Red Shark Digital is proud to reveal the Webflow website redesign for Sturgeon City, a non-profit organization specializing in civic and environmental education.
The original Sturgeon City website did the job as far as keeping users informed on current events and information about the non-profit, but lacked organization and consistency in design. Text was centered on some pages, while on other pages, text was left-aligned. The Home page had a "Learn More" button that did not function, and had both centered and left-aligned text as well. The site needed work, and we were happy to take on this Webflow website redesign!
On the Home page, we made the hero slider more attractive with larger text and quick transitions, rather than the slowly scrolling slider that was featured previously. Next, the programs are featured as sliding cards to make them easily accessible to the user, followed by information about the facility, Sturgeon City's story, and donations. The new Home page design covers a majority of the information Sturgeon City has to offer at a quick glance.
The Programs page features CMS collections for each program category as well as CMS items for each individual program offering. This allows the team at Sturgeon City to easily add and remove programs, as they are frequently changing. The Programs page also features neat animations as users scroll and hover to click. When a user is viewing a program, there is now a sidebar that houses ticket information, links, PDFs, etc.
