The team at Red Shark Digital will now receive four paid days off each year to allow time for uninterrupted rest and rejuvenation.

Mental health affects every aspect of our lives, from our relationships with others to our ability to perform at work. Due to the stigmatization of mental health issues, employees will often neglect their mental health and avoid having meaningful conversations about their well-being. This pattern can lead to feelings of isolation, where employees may not feel supported by their colleagues or supervisors.

Red Shark Digital’s mental health days are uncorrelated with the company’s existing PTO (paid time off) policy. PTO is a standard benefit that allows employees to accrue PTO hours through each pay period. Employees can use their PTO hours for any reason, such as vacation or personal days. Mental health days are additional paid days off the company will provide, with no effect on PTO accrual.
