My name is Avery Bowen, and I am the new account coordinator at Red Shark Digital, a digital marketing agency in North Carolina. Originally from Atlanta, GA, I grew up just down the road in Washington, NC. I attended Montreat College, studying Music Business and playing soccer. After a year, I decided to put a hold on my studies and start working, as I still wasn't totally sure what I wanted to pursue as a career. This journey led me to jobs in Wilmington, NC, later Peachtree City, GA, and finally back to Eastern NC. Since returning home, I've gotten married, reconnected with old friends, and gained a newfound appreciation for Greenville and eastern NC.

My Favorite Hobbies

Music

I've played guitar, drums, and bass most of my life (my whole family plays multiple instruments, so it just kinda happened). Some of my favorite bands/artists from different genres are Turnstile, Title Fight (rip), Knocked Loose, the Bee Gees, Tame Impala, and Animals as Leaders. The only genre I'm not a fan of is pop-country / most country I've heard.

Soccer

I've played soccer for most of my life and love the sport. I'm an avid Chelsea F.C. fan, which has, unfortunately, been a little painful recently.

Movies/Movie Theaters

I'm always game to go to the theater, especially for a thriller.

Trying new restaurants

I love trying out new spots to eat. Some of my local favorites are Ford & Shep, Native, and Jack Browns.

With my return home to Eastern NC, I’m thrilled to take on this new role as Account Coordinator with Red Shark Digital.
